Thanks to the effort of all citizens, the number of COVID-19 patients has been reduced and the state of emergency declared in Hokkaido has been lifted.
Vaccination program is in progress, but the vaccine breakthrough cases have been identified and we still need to continue basic infection control measures.
Let us keep doing the same preventive measures such as wearing a mask, washing/disinfecting hands, ventilating the room, and avoid close-contact settings, crowded places, and closed spaces.
